The Balkan History Association is pleased to announce the launch of a new volume, Spring in the Festal Ritual Calendar: Tradition and Modernity. Conference Proceedings, Sofia, 17-18 April 2019, edited by Nina Debruyne, Sr. Asst. Prof. Dr., University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT). The volume is part of the series Cultural Heritage Issues, Vol. 3, and it was published by the Academic Publishing House ‘Za Bukvite – O pismenehy’, Sofia, 2019, ISBN 978-619-185-388-5.

The conference Spring in the Festal Ritual Calendar: Tradition and Modernity was organized by the Cultural Heritage Institute and the Department of Culture, Heritage and Tourism at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies (ULSIT) and the Arete҅-Fol Foundation, with the assistance of the Regional Centre for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage in South-Eastern Europe under the auspices of UNESCO. The conference and the proceedings are financed by project № PChFNP-2019-03 in accordance with the Ordianance of the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Bulgaria for the conditions and procedures for evaluating, planning, budgeting and spending of the state budget provisions for financing of scientific and artistic activities of state universities.
